Olufemi’s Guide to Marrakech
As I stepped into the Marrakech Menara airport, I knew my long-awaited trip to Morocco would be nothing short of magical.
I always envisioned a group adventure to Morocco filled with laughter and shared experiences, however, the universe had different plans and circumstances led to just two of us making the trip. At first, there was a hint of disappointment, but little did we know that our duo adventure would spin a discovery that surpassed our wildest expectations.
Over four days, we immersed ourselves in its vibrant medina, where every corner held a treasure waiting to be discovered. From the bustling souks to the serene Jardin Majorelle, each moment was filled with the magic of Morocco. The warmth of the hospitality we received was like a comforting embrace which made our trip not just memorable, but truly heartwarming.
One of the highlights of this trip was exploring the famous Jardin Majorelle, a botanical oasis tucked away within the bustling city. I experienced a wave of calm as I strolled through the tranquil gardens with their vibrant blue buildings. No visit to Morocco would be complete without indulging in the world-famous Moroccan tea. A symphony of flavours dancing on your palate—a perfect balance of sweetness and refreshment.
My travel partner Bukunmi (@kunmiweke) planned an exciting itinerary that we explored which inspired me to put together this guide of must-visit places and things to do in Morocco. I hope you enjoy.
